The purpose of these gatherings is to build Alfred's common knowledge about industrial wind energy projects. What are the advantages and the concerns? How can we best document and understand both in the context of the Alfred landscape and dwelling pattern.
People research and collect information around a number of themes - overall energy and carbon footprint effects,
environmental and public health issues, aesthetics and soft-value considerations, and the economics of the short and longer term - and present summaries of that material to the group. We also
have guests with background in the field share that experience
with us.
